Caring for Our Patients, Caring for Our Planet

Welcome to the EXOGEN Recycling Programme, which allows for recycling of EXOGEN devices that have reached the end of their usage.

How to participate

  1. To get involved, contact your local Bioventus representative, or email [email protected]. A device collection barrel will be provided to you free of charge. Barrels are small, and easy to store. Two sizes are available:
    • 60 L: 39.5 cm wide x 61.5 cm tall
    • 120 L: 50 cm wide x 80 cm tall
  2. When a patient returns an EXOGEN device, note the treatment adherence rate and outcome (for audit purposes). Then place the used device in your collection barrel. Place only the EXOGEN device and charger in the barrel. The user manual can be included in paper recycling, and the carrier tote and gel bottle can be scrapped. Dispose of non-EXOGEN electrical waste separately. Note: If the device is eligible for the EXOGEN Performance Programme, keep the device separate and contact your local Bioventus representative.
  3. When your collection barrel is full, contact your Bioventus representative to arrange a collection. A replacement collection barrel will be provided at the time of collection.

An annual impact statement detailing the number of devices recycled and the overall environmental impact is available. Contact your EXOGEN territory manager for information.
